Our Mission
The New Sanctuary Movement of Atlanta is an interfaith and multicultural immigrant rights organization. The main tenets of the organization include:
• All human beings are loved by their creator and deserving of a safe place to live, work, and worship without fear, without regard to nationality, ethnicity, religion, economic status, immigration status, gender, ability, age, or sexual orientation;
• We have a responsibility to ensure the welfare of all in our decision making, and to hold the governments of city, county, state, and country accountable;
• We advocate for laws that ensure the rights of immigrants;
• We reject using power or speech to bully, intimidate, threaten or cause emotional or physical violence.
Our Projects
The New Sanctuary Movement of Atlanta runs over a dozen projects at any given time, and we’re always looking for volunteers. Click below to learn more about our projects and how you can help in your community.

Get Involved
There are many ways you can get involved with New Sanctuary Movement of Atlanta and assist our immigrant neighbors. You can always participate in one of our many ongoing projects. You can also get involved by contacting us to get more information about immigrant families in need in your community. Here are three additional things you can do (reach out to us for more details):
Educate
Invite a New Sanctuary of Atlanta representative to come to your faith community to explain why and how to become involved in helping our immigrant neighbors.
SUPPORT AN ASYLUM SEEKER
We will connect you with someone who is living in one of our “faith community host locations.” You/your faith community can help by providing food, transportation, entertainment, donate money, etc.
ADVOCATE
Write or call your local, state and federal elected officials for just immigration laws. If you’re not sure who to contact or what to say, we can give you guidance.
